Elcora Advanced Materials Corp. said Oct. 4 that it has made the first shipment of processed graphite from its Ragedara mine in Sri Lanka.
This milestone paves the way to generating cash flow from operations, said President and CEO Troy Grant.
The shipment was processed at Elcora's plant, which finished construction and started processing stockpiled graphite in November 2015.
The company is hiring more staff at its processing plant to increase production and meet product demand.
Elcora has a 10-year cooperation agreement with ThyssenKrupp Metallurgical Products, which distributed the shipment.
