Farmers Capital Bank estimates added Q4 tax expense of up to $6.3M

Farmers Capital Bank Corp. of Frankfort, Ky., expects the lower corporate tax rate to cause a downward revaluation of its net deferred tax assets.

A decrease of $5.8 million to $6.3 million will be recorded as an added fourth-quarter income tax expense.
