Ex-CEO of Va. credit union sentenced to 4.5 years in prison

Former WinchesterCommunity Federal Credit Union President and CEO Donna Jennings,who had pleaded guilty in December 2015 to embezzling more than $1 million tobuy real estate and pay $600,000 in credit card bills, was sentenced tofour-and-a-half years in federal prison on April 8, the Credit Union Times reported the same day.

U.S. District Judge Liam O'Grady in Alexandria, Va.,also ordered Jennings to pay about $1.1 million in restitution, according to thenews story.

The Winchester, Va.-based credit union had into Fairfax, Va.-basedApple Federal Credit Unionin 2015.
