Aena SME SA said its second-quarter normalized net income was €2.07 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of €3.18 per share.
EPS climbed 16.1% year over year from €1.79.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €312.1 million, a gain of 19.4% from €261.5 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 29.7% from 26.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 7.9% on an annual basis to €1.05 billion from €975.6 million, and total operating expenses totaled €507.9 million, compared with €512.7 million in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income declined 17.9% year over year to €380.1 million, or €2.52 per share, from €463.1 million, or €3.16 per share.
