Air Lease completes public offering of senior notes

Air Lease Corp.on April 11 consummated a public offering of $600 million aggregate principal amountof its 3.375% senior notesdue June 1, 2021.

The company intends to use the net proceeds of approximately$590 million for general corporate purposes, which may include the purchase of commercialaircraft and the repayment of existing debt, according to a Form 8-K filed April11. Affiliates of the underwriters in the offering may receive a portion of thenet proceeds to the extent the company uses any net proceeds to repay debt underwhich certain of such underwriters or their affiliates are lenders. Pending anyspecific application, the company may temporarily invest the net proceeds in short-terminvestments, including marketable securities.

The company may redeem all or part of the notes at any time andfrom time to time prior to maturity at a purchase price equal to 100% of the principalamount of the notes plus an applicable premium and accrued and unpaid interest,if any, to the redemption date.
