Afreximbank names EVP for business development

The named AmrKamel executive vice president in charge of business development and corporatebanking, with effect from Oct. 1.

Kamel succeeds Benedict Oramah, whobecame president of the bank in September 2015. He will oversee Afreximbank'sorigination and business development activities, including managing thedepartments of client relations, project finance, export development, andadvisory and capital markets, among others.

Kamel has worked for Afreximbankfor 21 years, including as director of banking operations.

Afreximbank executive vicepresidents serve four-year terms that may be renewed once.
