HaringeyCouncil's cabinet selected developer Argent Related as a strategic partner forredevelopment in the Tottenham Hale district of the London borough, accordingto a news release.
The firstphase of the regeneration will deliver around 800 homes around the district'stransport hub, along with shops, cafes, restaurants and community facilitiesincluding a health center, as well as green spaces. The homes will be a mixtureof market sale, build to rent and affordable residences, according to therelease.
Property Week also reported on the news,noting that the £1 billion scheme is among a series of development projectsplanned for the area. The borough council is also seeking a partner for a £2billion regeneration scheme that seeks to deliver at least 5,000 homes and anew town center over the next 15 to 20 years. In March, the council six developersincluding Lend Lease Corp. Ltd.and Urban&Civic plcfor a 50/50 joint venture.
