CFO resigns from Southern National Bancorp of Virginia

J. Adam Sothen resigned from Southern National Bancorp of Virginia Inc., where he was executive vice president and CFO. He also resigned as CFO of Tappahannock, Va.-based subsidiary Sonabank.

Sothen is leaving to accept a position at another financial services company. His resignation takes effect March 19, but he will stay on in an advisory capacity through April 2.

William Lagos will serve as interim CFO. Lagos was previously director of special projects for Southern National and chief accounting officer for both the company and Sonabank.
