UCP, Alfred Hitchcock Estate to develop Hitchcock-inspired series

NBCUniversalMedia LLC's Universal Cable Productions and the Alfred HitchcockEstate signed an agreement to develop "Welcome to Hitchcock," aseries inspired by Hitchcock's unique storytelling.

The planned series will be an anthology focusing on oneseason-long mystery or crime following the classic Hitchcock storytellingstyle. The anthology will seek out various filmmakers and other talent to payhomage to Hitchcock's style and legacy. The studio plans to continue itscollaboration with the Hitchcock Estate to design a series not only aimed atexisting Hitchcock fans, but also to attract a new generation of fans.

UCP will work in collaboration with TV production companyVermilion Entertainment for the project.
