Activision Blizzard Inc. said Jan. 2 that it terminated CFO Spencer Neumann for "violating his legal obligations to the company."

The move comes amid reportedly that Neumann will join Netflix Inc. in the same role.

Dennis Durkin takes over as CFO, effective immediately.

Durkin joined Activision Blizzard as finance chief in March 2012 and served in that role until May 2017, before taking on the chief corporate officer position.
