QBE North America said April 4 that it appointed Eric Shankssenior vice president of high net worth and Guy Huntley senior vice president ofpersonal insurance underwriting.

The appointments in the Standard P&C department support growthin the company's personal insurance business and expansion into the high-net-worthniche market.

Shanks was most recently vice president and worldwide signaturesegment manager at Chubb & Son, overseeing a high-net-worth customer segmentwith more than $1 billion in annual premium. He is based in San Francisco.

Huntley, who is based in Chicago, joins QBE from ACE PrivateRisk Services where he served as vice president and regional underwriting executivefor the Chicago underwriting center.
