Apple CEO dispels concerns over desktop business

Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook ended speculation over the fate of the company's desktop business by assuring employees that the tech giant has plans to build "great desktops" in the future, TechCrunch.com reported Dec. 19, citing a post on an employee board by Cook.

In the same post, Cook also clarified to the company's employees the reason for attending a meeting with President-elect Donald Trump. "Personally, I've never found being on the sideline a successful place to be," the executive said. "The way that you influence these issues is to be in the arena."
