Sportswear company Nike Inc. appointed G. Scott Uzzell as the president and CEO of its unit Converse Inc., effective Jan. 22, 2019.

Uzzell replaces Davide Grasso who will retire at the end of the year.

Most recently, Uzzell served as president of venturing and emerging brands group at Coca-Cola Co.

Nike on Dec. 20 reported diluted EPS of 52 cents for the three months ended Nov. 30, a 13% increase from the same quarter a year ago.
