Uoki Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Feb. 28 was ¥42.58 per share, a gain of 16.0% from ¥36.71 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥108.8 million, a gain of 16.0% from ¥93.8 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 2.9% from 2.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue totaled ¥3.77 billion, compared with ¥3.79 billion in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses declined year over year to ¥3.59 billion from ¥3.64 billion.
Reported net income rose 33.3% from the prior-year period to ¥144.0 million, or ¥56.39 per share, from ¥108.0 million, or ¥42.29 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥46.74 per share, an increase of 66.1% from ¥28.14 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥119.4 million, a gain of 66.1% from ¥71.9 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue fell year over year to ¥13.51 billion from ¥13.82 billion, and total operating expenses declined year over year to ¥13.31 billion from ¥13.70 billion.
The company said reported net income rose on an annual basis to ¥128.0 million, or ¥50.12 per share, in the full year, from ¥29.0 million, or ¥11.36 per share.
