Greenbacker purchases Vt. wind farm for $25.1M

Greenbacker Renewable Energy Co. LLC has purchased the 10-MW Georgia Mountain Community Wind Project, in Chittenden and Franklin counties, Vt., for $25.1 million through a wholly owned subsidiary.

The wind farm, made up of four wind turbines, sells its output to Burlington Electric Department. The facility was originally built by local business owners, according to a Dec. 22 press release.

Greenbacker Renewable owns 178.9 MW of generation portfolio with 55.5 MW coming from wind and the rest of the 123.4 MW generating from solar power.
