KB Financial nominates new CEO for unit KB Kookmin Bank

Hur Yin, senior executive vice president at KB Kookmin Bank, will take over as CEO and president of the KB Financial Group Inc. banking unit.

A KB Financial board committee decided Oct. 11 to nominate Hur to replace Yoon Jong-kyoo, chairman and CEO of KB Financial and CEO and president of KB Kookmin Bank, who will step down from his role at the bank. Yoon will remain chairman of the parent company, subject to shareholder approval at a Nov. 20 meeting.

Hur's two-year term will start Nov. 21, subject to shareholder approval.

He has served as CFO at the bank, prior to his current role leading the sales group.
