Symbol Mining starts trading on ASX

Symbol Mining Ltd.'s shares have recommenced trading today on the ASX under the name Swala Energy Ltd., with the ASX code SWE.

The company said Dec. 22 that it will change its name to Symbol Mining Ltd. with the ASX code SL1 on Dec. 29.

The listing follows the completion of the company's acquisition of Symbol Mining Corp. Pty. Ltd., according to the Dec. 22 release.

Symbol owns tenements covering over 500 square kilometers of land prospective for zinc and lead plus silver mineralization in the Imperial and Tawny projects in Nigeria.

Swala Energy exited the oil and gas industry in favor of base metals exploration with the acquisition of the Nigeria-focused company.
