I.K Co. Ltd. fiscal Q2 profit climbs YOY

I.K Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Nov. 30, 2015, amounted to ¥4.86 per share, a gain from 84 sen per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥18.1 million, an increase from ¥3.1 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 0.5% from 0.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 15.6% year over year to ¥3.59 billion from ¥3.11 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 14.8% year over year to ¥3.56 billion from ¥3.10 billion.

As of Jan. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.06.
