Kibaran Resources Ltd. got approval from the mining commission of Tanzania for renewal of its mining license for the Epanko graphite project for an additional 10 years upon its expiry.
The company said Sept. 5 that this renewal aligns to the term of debt facilities proposed for the project, which was a major requirement of its lenders.
Kibaran aims to fulfill remaining requirements of the lenders so the financing and subsequent construction of Epanko can proceed as soon as possible.
In January, the company's board approved the construction of a spherical graphite pilot plant in Germany for processing of graphite from Epanko.
