ASR Nederland to acquire underwriting agency Corins

agreed to acquireCorins, an underwriting agency operating in the Dutch co-insurance market, foran undisclosed amount.

Corins generated premium income ofmore than €18 million in 2015 and services more than 60 brokers. ASR said theacquisition is in line with its strategy to grow in the Dutch commercialproperty and casualty insurance market through organic growth and selectiveacquisitions.

ASR said Corins will continue torepresent the insurers with which it already does business. Corins' employeeswill remain on the payroll and the business will remain based in Amsterdam,where it will operate independently.

The deal is subject to regulatoryapproval, ASR said July 18.
