Philippines' San Miguel Corp. has found itself anotherpotential partner for its telecommunications project, as telecom provider Telenor ASAexpressed its interest for a mobile joint venture with the conglomerate, the Philippine DailyInquirer reported May 2, citing SMC President Ramon Ang.
This is not SMC's first contact with Telenor, as talksbetween the two companies were already in place prior to the negotiations withAustralia'sTelstra Corp. Ltd.
Ang reportedly said he is still "thinking about it"and also brought up the possibility that SMC might pursue the telecom venturewithout a partner.
