Kroger bakery recalls cake bars over undeclared allergens

Kroger's Clackamas bakery has recalled Fred Meyer-branded angel food cake bars due to allergens not listed on the product's label.

According to an Oct. 15 announcement from the U.S. FDA, the products may contain soy and milk, which can cause a reaction in people who have an allergy or sensitivity to these ingredients.

The 12-ounce cake bars were sold at Fred Meyer stores in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska.

To date, no allergic reactions linked to the product have been reported, the FDA said.

Consumers who bought the affected products are advised to return them to their place of purchase for a full refund.

Fred Meyer is a chain of hypermarket stores owned by Kroger.
