Amazon.comInc. is preparing to launch its streaming service Amazon PrimeVideo in the Netherlands in 2017,Broadband TV News reported Sept. 30.

RTLNederland CEO Bert Habets reportedly said a Dutch debut for PrimeVideo is imminent, with Amazon in the process of acquiring video-on-demandrights for U.S. TV series such as "Conviction" and "Into theBadlands."

Amazon is also planning to launch Prime Video in , Italy and Spain beforethe end of 2016. The streaming service is available in Austria,Germany and the U.K.

RTL Nederland, which owns VOD service Videoland, is a unitof RTL Group.
