Beowulf starts scoping study at Kallak iron ore project in Sweden

Beowulf Mining Plc appointed SRK Consulting (UK) Ltd. to complete a scoping study at its Kallak magnetite iron ore project in Sweden.

The scoping study is scheduled to be completed by the end of February 2018, according to an Oct. 9 release.

Beowulf CEO Kurt Budge said the company expects to be granted an exploitation concession for the Kallak North deposit and has the support of local stakeholders.

In July, the company appointed a group of economists to complete a study of the economic benefits of the Kallak project.

Beowulf shares crashed in February after the County Administrative Board for the County of Norrbotten, where the mine is located, referred the company's exploitation concession application for the Kallak North project back to the Mining Inspectorate of Sweden.
