Axium-led consortium eyes stake in EDF Kan. wind plant

EDF RenewableEnergy is selling a 50% stake in its 150-MW inSumner County, Kan., to an AxiumInfrastructure-led consortium.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Slate Creek started operating in December 2015, andcurrently sells its output to GreatPlains Energy Inc. subsidiary Kansas City Power & Light Co. under a 20-year powerpurchase agreement, according to a July 11 news release.

EDF Renewable Energy said it will retain a 50% stake in theproject and will continue to provide management services.

At the transaction's close, Axium and its investors willhold interests in four EDF EN North America assets, totaling 277 MW ofinstalled capacity.
