Alphabet Inc. unit Google Inc. acquired Cask Data Inc., a company that specializes in building and running big data solutions for enterprise customers.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Cask Data will become part of Google Cloud, and continue to develop and release open source Cask Data Application Platform, according to an official May 14 blog post.
