Alterra Power Corp. and Inovateus Solar have delayed the targeted commercial operations date for the planned 10.1-MW AC Spartan PV solar facility in Michigan to late 2017.
The companies amended and restated power purchase agreement, under which the Michigan State University will purchase the entire output of the project for 25 years. The project will be built on carports of the MSU campus.
In connection with the amendment, Inovateus placed a $500,000 security supporting delivery under the PPA, according to a Dec. 22 company release. Alterra and Inovateus plan to jointly own the facility and expect to begin construction in early 2017.
