The Insurance Council of Texas said the damage to homes and autos in the aftermath of a hailstorm in Dallas is expected to cost the insurance and reinsurance business about $425 million, Artemis reported.
The council estimates that as many as 20,000 homes and 25,000 vehicles were affected when large hail, some the size of a baseball, pounded the city and other parts of northern Texas, including Collin, Denton and Tarrant counties, on June 6, according to the report.
