Jerasia Capital fiscal Q3 profit climbs 32.4% YOY

Jerasia Capital Bhd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, came to 2 Malaysian sen per share, a gain of 32.3% from 2 sen per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 1.7 million ringgits, a gain of 32.4% from 1.3 million ringgits in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 1.5% from 1.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 29.5% year over year to 113.7 million ringgits from 87.8 million ringgits, and total operating expenses climbed 29.6% on an annual basis to 110.0 million ringgits from 84.9 million ringgits.

Reported net income increased 97.2% year over year to 2.3 million ringgits, or 3 sen per share, from 1.2 million ringgits, or 1 sen per share.

As of Feb. 25, US$1 was equivalent to 4.22 ringgits.
