Germany's Carl Zeiss Meditec AG said CFO Christian Müller will leave the company Oct. 1 to serve in the same position at its parent Carl Zeiss AG.

Müller has been CFO of the maker of eye surgical devices since 2009.

Carl Zeiss Meditec appointed Justus Wehmer as its new CFO, effective Oct. 1. Wehmer is currently CFO and co-head of the company's Zeiss Microscopy business group.

The company also expanded its management board to three members from two with the induction of Jan Willem de Cler. He has been the head of surgical ophthalmology at Carl Zeiss Meditec since 2010.
