Tyranna Resources Ltd. said Jan. 24 that its Western Gawler Craton joint venture has defined an initial 219,000-ounce gold resource for the Jumbuck project in South Australia.
The other partners in the joint venture are WPG Resources Ltd. and Coombedown Resources Pty. Ltd.
Resources were estimated for the Golf Bore, Golf Bore North, Greenewood, Mainwood and Campfire Bore deposits, which are all located within trucking distance of the Challenger gold mine operated by WPG.
The joint venture is working toward achieving its exploration target of 500,000 ounces, and the maiden resource marks the completion of phase one.
Tyranna said further drilling of 15,000 meters to 20,000 meters will begin in March.
