Report: PetroChina unit aims to complete Rudong terminal repairs by mid-November

Ahead of the winter season, PetroChina Co. Ltd. subsidiary Kunlun Energy Company Ltd. aims to complete repairs at the Rudong liquefied natural gas import terminal by mid-November following an accident last month, Reuters reported Oct. 9, citing unnamed sources.

Since Sept. 21, Kunlun has reduced intake capacity at the Rudong LNG terminal after a gas pipeline linked to an onshore regasification facility was damaged when a tanker struck a bridge.

Rudong is among the three largest import terminals in China, with a capacity of 6.5 million tonnes per year.
