BGF takes minority stake in Irish kitchen-door, accessories maker

BGF bought a minority stake in Antrim, Ireland-based kitchen-door and component supplier Uform.

The investor, which backs small and midsize businesses in the U.K. and Ireland, said it and Danske Bank provided a "multimillion pound" funding package to Uform. As part of the investment, Jim Meredith will become nonexecutive chairman at Uform and Graham Clarke will join the board as BGF investor director.

Uform will use the money to expand its product offering into additional markets in the U.K., Ireland and Northern Ireland.
