Vishal Fabrics fiscal H1 profit climbs YOY

4911323 said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30 was 1.78 Indian rupees per share, a gain from 77 paise per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 46.9 million rupees, a gain from 20.3 million rupees in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 8.6% year over year to 1.15 billion rupees from 1.06 billion rupees, and total operating expenses climbed on an annual basis to 1.04 billion rupees from 997.2 million rupees.

Reported net income rose on an annual basis to 71.5 million rupees, or 2.71 rupees per share, from 31.8 million rupees, or 1.21 rupees per share.
