Tiga Gaming H1 loss widens YOY

Tiga Gaming Inc. said its normalized net income for the first half amounted to a loss of NT$1.34 per share, compared with a loss of 78 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of NT$24.2 million, compared with a loss of NT$4.8 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell 91.2% on an annual basis to NT$452,000 from NT$5.1 million, and total operating expenses climbed on an annual basis to NT$38.2 million from NT$12.9 million.

Reported net income totaled a loss of NT$38.7 million, or a loss of NT$2.15 per share, compared to a loss of NT$7.6 million, or a loss of NT$1.24 per share, in the year-earlier period.

As of Aug. 5, US$1 was equivalent to NT$31.71.
