Advancial FCU CEO faces theft charge over stealing signs

Brent Sheffield, president and CEO of Dallas-based Advancial Federal Credit Union, was charged with theft between $100 and $750 for stealing marketing signs from a local housing project, Fox 4 News reported Dec. 21.

Kosse Maykus, the owner of the housing project, said he installed cameras after his marketing signs went missing over four straight weekends. He allegedly captured Sheffield taking signs from two different locations, according to the news outlet.

Sheffield took about seven signs over the last couple of months, the news outlet reported, citing the arrest warrant affidavit. The news outlet did not get a response from Sheffield.

Maykus told Fox 4 News that Sheffield, who lived near the housing project, as well as more than 100 other people, opposed the housing development in Southlake, Texas.
