VGH Versicherungen AG, the largest insurer in the German state of Lower Saxony, named Ulrich Knemeyer its new CEO from July 1, 2020.
Knemeyer, who is deputy CEO of the group, will succeed Hermann Kasten, who is retiring, VGH said Dec. 4.
Annika Meyer-Rust, acting head of controlling and actuarial affairs for the VGH subsidiaries, will join the group's executive board as a member in charge of nonlife insurance, also from July 1, 2020. Meyer-Rust is succeeding retiring VGH executive board member Thomas Vorholt.
The owners' committee has approved both appointments.
