1st liquefaction train at Sabine Pass LNG export terminal cleared for full service

FERCstaff have authorized Cheniere EnergyInc. to expand operations at the Sabine Pass terminal's first liquefactiontrain as the second train prepares to come online.

The May3 letter allows Cheniere Energy PartnersLP subsidiaries SabinePass Liquefaction LLC and SabinePass LNG LP to commence service at Train 1 and associated facilities.Cheniere had been testing the facilities and exporting occasional cargoes throughMarch and April. (CP11-72, CP13-2)

FERC'sapproval comes just days after Cheniere exportedits seventh Sabine Pass cargo on April 25.

On April18, FERC staff authorizedCheniere's Sabine Pass Liquefaction LLC and Sabine Pass LNG LP to introduce feedgas and refrigerants to parts of its second liquefaction train, which is scheduledto begin production this month.
