Ohio's United Bancorp Inc. renames subsidiary brands

Martins Ferry, Ohio-based United Bancorp Inc. has consolidated its banking brands under the Unified Bank name.

The Citizens Savings Bank and its divisions, The Citizens Bank and The Community Bank, were renamed to Unified, effective Oct. 10.

The company on Oct. 16 reported net income of $1.0 million, or 20 cents per share, for the three months ended Sept. 30. A year ago, it had been $928,356, or 18 cents per share.

United in its earnings report also noted the company's expansion into Wheeling, W.Va., with a loan production office.
