DuPont de Nemours Inc. is contemplating selling its electronics and imaging unit, Bloomberg News reported, citing "people familiar with the matter."
Such a transaction would follow DuPont's spinoff of its divisions to create three independent entities and the announcement of a $26.2 billion deal to merge its nutrition and biosciences arm with International Flavors & Fragrances Inc.
The specialty chemicals company is discussing options with advisers such as a sale or spinoff and is mulling a "reverse Morris trust" deal, which can allow a company to transfer a subsidiary tax-free, Bloomberg reported.
The company is also weighing a divestment in its transportation and industrial unit, Bloomberg reported in November 2019.
However, no deal has been finalized and DuPont could elect to retain the unit, the sources said.
