Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was £4.7 million, a gain from £1.0 million in the second half ended April 26, 2014.
Total revenue climbed 7.3% year over year to £241.9 million from £225.5 million, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to £233.6 million from £222.8 million.
Reported net income totaled a loss of £628,100, or a loss of 1 pence per share, compared to a loss of £5.5 million, or a loss of 8 pence per share, in the second half ended April 26, 2014.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 13 pence per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 14 pence.
EPS rose from 4 pence in the prior year.
Normalized net income was £8.9 million, an increase from £2.9 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose year over year to £469.8 million from £447.7 million, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to £454.2 million from £441.0 million.
The company said reported net income came to £4.6 million, or 7 pence per share, in the full year, compared with a loss of £3.6 million, or a loss of 5 pence per share, the prior year.
