Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. appointed 22-year Walt Disney Co. veteran Jared Goetz to the newly created post of president of North American television distribution.
Goetz will head the team responsible for licensing Lions Gate and Starz content across all broadcast, cable, pay TV, subscription-video-on-demand, and other digital platforms in the U.S. and Canada.
Before this appointment, Goetz worked in various executive roles at Disney, most recently as senior vice president of pay television and digital sales and general sales manager of SVOD for Disney/ABC Home Entertainment and Television Distribution. He oversaw the sales of various first-run syndicated shows at Disney including "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" and "Live with Regis and Kelly," along with off-network series like "Castle," "Grey's Anatomy" and "Lost."
