Transmetro fiscal H1 profit falls YOY

Transmetro Corp. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 31, 2014, was 5 Australian cents per share, a decrease of 26.1% from 6 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$621,250, a decrease of 26.2% from A$841,250 in the prior-year period.

Total revenue declined 5.3% year over year to A$16.1 million from A$17.0 million, and total operating expenses declined year over year to A$14.7 million from A$15.3 million.

Reported net income declined 15.3% from the prior-year period to A$696,000, or 5 cents per share, from A$822,000, or 6 cents per share.
