MedFirst Healthcare Services Q4 profit falls YOY

MedFirst Healthcare Services Inc. said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter came to 79 Taiwan cents per share, a decline of 12.4% from 90 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$20.0 million, a decrease of 12.6% from NT$22.9 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 1.8% from 2.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to NT$1.09 billion from NT$1.05 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to NT$1.07 billion from NT$1.02 billion.

Reported net income decreased 15.4% from the prior-year period to NT$25.6 million, or NT$1.01 per share, from NT$30.3 million, or NT$1.19 per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled NT$3.12 per share, a fall of 16.9% from NT$3.75 per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was NT$79.1 million, a decrease of 16.9% from NT$95.1 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue increased 5.9% on an annual basis to NT$4.11 billion from NT$3.88 billion, and total operating expenses increased 7.0% year over year to NT$4.00 billion from NT$3.74 billion.

The company said reported net income fell 16.2% on an annual basis to NT$102.1 million, or NT$4.03 per share, in the full year, from NT$121.9 million, or NT$4.81 per share.
