Allegheny Bancshares closes Mount Hope Bankshares deal

Franklin, W.Va.-based Allegheny Bancshares Inc. on Sept. 30 closed its acquisition of Mount Hope Bankshares Inc. and unit Bank of Mount Hope Inc., according to a statement provided in the company's Nov. 1 third-quarter earnings release.

Bank of Mount Hope merged with Allegheny unit Pendleton Community Bank Inc. following the deal with the latter as the resulting entity.

ProBank Austin was the financial adviser for Bank of Mount Hope, while Bowles Rice LLP served as its legal adviser. Vining Sparks Community Bank Advisory Group was Allegheny's financial adviser and Jackson Kelly PLLC was its legal adviser in connection with the deal.
