Leagold ups measured, indicated resource at Bermejal underground project

LeaGold Mining Corp. updated the underground resource estimate at its Bermejal underground project in Mexico to measured and indicated resources of 10.8 million tonnes and inferred resources of 4.6 million tonnes.

The measured and indicated resource has an average grade of 5.97 g/t of gold for 2.1 million ounces of gold and 21.51 g/t of silver for 7.5 million ounces of silver, according to a Dec. 22 release.

The inferred resource, meanwhile, has an average grade of 4.75 g/t of gold for 701,000 ounces of gold and 18.33 g/t of silver for 2.7 million ounces of silver.

The previous estimate stood at a measured and indicated resource of 9.9 million tonnes at 6.2 g/t gold for about 2 million ounces, and an inferred resource of 4.8 million tonnes at 5.4 g/t gold for 820,000 ounces.
