SagePoint Financial adds 2 advisory firms to affiliate network

SagePoint Financial Inc. added Mesa, Ariz.-based Droeg Financial Services and Utah-based Kranenburg Accounting and Tax Service to its network of affiliates.

Droeg Financial brings more than $43 million in assets under advisement, or AUA, to SagePoint. It specializes in insurance and annuities, tax management, investment management, retirement strategies and estate conservation.

Kranenburg advises on more than $18 million in assets, and it practices in tax preparation, mortgage refinancing, trust and estate planning and payroll services.

In addition, existing SagePoint affiliates Veritas Wealth Management, Bluegrass Wealth Management and Midwest Financial Advisors each hired individual advisers with a combined $179 million in AUA.

Michael McMahon and Thomas Baird, with a combined AUA of about $130 million, joined Veritas. Matthew Cox and Chris Little, with a combined AUA of nearly $34 million, joined Bluegrass. And Robert Shiner, with about $15 million in AUA, joined Midwest.
