Sling TV founding CEO leaving to lead Pandora

Pandora Media Inc. is getting a new CEO.

Sling TV founding CEO Roger Lynch will join the streaming radio company as CEO, president and director, effective Sept. 18. Also joining Pandora's board is Michael Lynton, the chairman of Snap Inc.'s board.

Naveen Chopra, who was named Pandora’s interim CEO after the departure of Tim Westergren, will continue to serve the company as CFO, according to an Aug. 14 news release.

Meanwhile, DISH Network Corp. said it will integrate its Sling TV over-the-top service into DISH President and COO Erik Carlson's portfolio. Management changes at Sling TV are effective Aug. 31.

As the founding CEO of Sling TV, Lynch led the creation, launch and growth of Sling TV. Before Sling TV, Lynch served as executive vice president of advanced technologies at DISH Network and EchoStar Corp.
