Disney CEO Bob Iger resigns from Apple's board

The Walt Disney Co. Chairman and CEO Bob Iger resigned from Apple Inc.'s board, effective Sept. 10, the same day that Apple disclosed the launch date and pricing of its Apple TV+ streaming service.

Iger joined Apple's board as an independent director in 2011.

Apple TV+, which features exclusive original video content from various A-list celebrities, will debut Nov. 1, retailing at $4.99 per month. Disney is set to launch its Disney+ streaming service Nov. 12 for $6.99 per month, or for $69.99 for the full year.
