Williams Partners LP placed into service the second phase of its Garden State expansion project, a Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Co. LLC, or Transco, natural gas pipeline expansion that would add 180,000 Dth/d of deliveries to New Jersey Natural Gas Co.
The project involved the installation of a new compressor station, meter and regulating station in Burlington County, N.J., along with the addition of compression at a Transco compressor station and other modifications, according to a March 26 news release. Garden State transports gas supply from Transco's Zone 6 Station 210 Pooling Point in Mercer County, N.J., to new interconnection on the Trenton Woodbury lateral in Burlington County.
The first phase of the project began service in September 2017. Transco on March 16 received approval to place the second and final phase of the Garden State expansion into service from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
New Jersey Natural Gas is a utility serving over 500,000 customers in six New Jersey counties. Transco is a subsidiary of Williams Partners that operates a 10,200-mile gas pipeline network in the southeast U.S. and Atlantic Seaboard.
